Rotary Park Family Session | Clarksville Family Photographer | The O Family

About 10 months ago I shot a family session for one of my best friends, Brittany, and her boys. On that swampy, humid, hot and stormy summer day Brittany and I started daydreaming about doing a rain coat & rain boot photoshoot with her boys. Since that hot June day, we have been plotting this family rainboot photoshoot for Rotary Park where we could splash and play without being in the actual rain. Last weekend (once the stay at home order was lifted), I met the O family at the park and we finally got to jump in some puddles!

This family photo session was EXTRA sweet because Brittany's parents were in town visiting and got to jump in some pictures with their grandsons and get a few couples photos done too. Can you believe they have been married 33 years and have never gotten professional photos done? When I asked them the last time they had photos taken they said "maybe high school?" They didn't even have wedding photos, so it was my joy to be able to capture a few of just the two of them. And can we just be real about the way they look at each other? I pray when my husband and I hit 33 years together we are still giggling and so in love like these two!

I am head over heals with these images and the family in them, but looking at these photos breaks my heart a bit. This is probably one of my last photoshoots with the O family for a while. This summer the Army is moving them to live the good life in San Antonio, while we stay here. I guess Brittany and I will just have to start dreaming of Texas photoshoots for when I come visit...can you say bluebonnets?

For now, I will pretend the stop move for the Army isn't going to expire next month and that my bestie (and two of my son's best friends) will be here forever.
