On New Year's Day I got to hang out with 3 pretty special people, the K family, at Liberty Park in downtown Clarksville. Kim, Scott, and their son, Peyton, have become such important people in our lives over the past 18 months. They have become our family in that time, loving our children, being a shoulder to cry on, and people we can (and have) call in the middle of the night. Kim even came to pick up our little man at 5 am when I was in labor with Addie and kept him until that night when my in-laws could pick him up. That's a true friend! They have given us so much, it was a joy to be able to capture some family photos for them this winter.
We had these grand plans of shooting around the pond at Liberty Park, but with all the rain we have had here in Clarksville lately, the pond was flooded! We improvised and were able to find another great spot for our session. But Kim and I are still plotting to convince Scott to do another session in the spring when the pond isn't flooded. He said he had fun so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. For now, I am in love with these shots from their session. I had the hardest time narrowing down their images for a blog post. I just love them all so much.
