Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Kate and Drew (and their sweet daughter) on Fort Campbell for a stunning photoshoot. Kate had mentioned to me that she was interested in getting some images of her husband in his uniform, but I did not anticipate the phenomenal outfit she would show up in! Kate has a classic, elegant, and timeless style that was so fun to shoot. We met up at the old CG's (commanding general for non-military friends) home on post and walked along the treelined driveway chatting about military life, parenting, dancing (they are doing the same dance lessons we just bought!), and just life in general. I felt like I had known them for years.
On the day of our session we had a break in the weather and had mild temperatures and NO RAIN! Praise God! However, we were battling quite a bit of wind. Knowing that the wind could be a factor, I intentionally overshot the session so I would be sure not to miss a killer image because of hair in the face! Little did I know I would end up with one of the largest galleries I've ever delivered - and that's after I paired it down A LOT! When you have a couple who is photogenic, loves to be together, & has great style and you pair it with a fantastic location & good weather, it is just too hard to narrow down my favorites!
