Merry Christmas!!!!!! This week we have had my husband's family here in Tennessee for the holidays. It was awesome to have the whole family (mother in law, father in law, sister in law, sister in law's boyfriend, and our family) in one place for the first time in a while. We spent most of the week bouncing back and forth between Nashville and Clarksville eating all the delicious foods, enjoying fun Christmas activities, exploring, and going to church services both Sunday (and it snowed!) and on Christmas Eve. We even spent a day in Kentucky doing a part of the Bourbon Trail, which we HIGHLY RECOMMEND! More on that in a later post.
Since I had them as a captive audience, I was able to talk my sweet sister-in-law, Kelsey, and her boyfriend, Derek, into a fun couples session in our backyard. I had originally planned on going to some gorgeous location in town, but then it snowed on December 23rd and was FREEZING COLD, so that plan went out the window. So we planned to stay close to the house and found a spot in our backyard which allowed us to run inside to get warm instead of feeling like we had to stand out in the cold forever to get these shots.
If you don't know Kelsey and Derek, these two have been together nearly 5 years and are so in love it makes us all want to be better. They also have the best dry sense of humor. We spent our session laughing so hard I was barely able to keep shooting because my sides were splitting. I, obviously, love them because they're my family. However, even if I didn't have to love them, I would after that session because when you're with them, you can't help but have a good time. I can't wait to talk them into more sessions in the weeks, months, and years to come!
