This fall has been a season of change and excitement for us in the Cregar family. Our sweet boy, Jamie, is experiencing his very first fall with crisp, brightly colored leaves, new flavors (am I the only one who likes pumpkin everything?), cooler weather, and fun fall outings. In addition to the excitement of the season, our family is going through another change. My husband has a new position at work that he LOVES and I have a new volunteer position helping the families of the people who work for and with my husband. It has re-ignited my passion for serving others. After a few months of balancing all my roles (mama, wife, employee, volunteer, and photographer), I realized I can't be all things to all people. After weeks of prayer and discussion, I decided to step away from the corporate world and be a full time mama and photographer so I can continue to volunteer and serve others. It is such a bitter-sweet feeling to be leaving the office, but I can't wait to have more mom life experiences with my sweet baby boy and more time to be the best wife I can be.
The week I finally decided to leave my job (although I will be finishing out the semester), my wonderful husband knew I would need a little pick me up to show me what I am gaining by stepping away from my job. He took me and Jamie to the pumpkin patch at Gentry Farm in Franklin, TN and we had a blast! Even though the Halloween season is over, Gentry Farm has so much to offer for the entire fall season. I highly encourage anyone in the area to stop in to see them for the remainder of the fall season or plan a trip for next fall.
